The Homefront is one of the first of it's kind with it's revolutionary innovation which CRKT calls "Field Strip". You simply release the front blade lock while the knife is in the closed position and then spin the gear on the butt end of the knife and the knife then separates into three pieces: Both sides of the Handle and the Blade. This is an awesome tool if you're one of those people who plan on using this knife for just about everything and don't want to have to worry about getting stuff guncked in the mechanics of the knife.
