The 1004 Hunter GTX RR WL is the update to the 1009 Vioz Top with key material upgrades throughout. The insulated 9-inch Hunter is ideal for big game hunting in extreme environments where protection from cold and rough terrain is required.
The Hunter is built upon the exclusive Zamberlan Vibram® Darwin outsole and features a dual-density PU midsole (one lower-density for cushion and one higher-density for support) and Vibram rubber outsole. The outsole features an excellent tread for superior grip, solid downhill braking, stable toe-off tread zones, and lugs wide enough to be easily cleaned with a stick or finger. A forward rocker is built into the boot to help propel you forward as you climb up the mountain with greater ease.
Upgraded Italian Hydrobloc® Waxed Tuscan leathers comprise the uppers in Zamberlan’s ever-popular Waxed Chestnut color. The patented ZFS (Zamberlan Flex System) allows the uppers to break forward in comfort without compromising lateral stability around the ankle. The RRS (Rubber Rand System) over the toe box offers added protection against rocks and debris. The RRS has been improved from prior versions to allow for greater durability over time. Corrosion resistant hardware allows for easy lacing and durability over time.
Gore-Tex® Insulated Comfort membranes provide the utmost waterproof protection and breathability while granting temperature performance equivalent to about 400 to 500g of Thinsulate®. Lasted with the ZWL (Zamberlan Wide Last) for a roomier and more comfortable fit for wider feet or extra sock layers in extreme conditions.
