The optics compression straps are attached via quick detach buckles so they can be positioned over just the tripod, or over the tripod and optics pocket. A 1896 cubic inch main bag, 375 cubic inch spotting scope pocket, and 2500+ cubic inch plus expandable load shelf can take the total load up over 5000 cubic inches. At just 4.21bs with a medium Xcurve, the Stone Glacier Approach 1800 hunting pack and frame maintains a 150 pound load rating.
The Stone Glacier Approach 1800 hunting pack and frame can also be used on their Solo or Sky Packs to add an extra 2200 cu in to each bag for a little under a pound.
